As we all know Rabindranath Tagore is an integral part of the Bengali identity. His creative output was spread in a vast array of areas over his lifetime. In the 130 years since his birth, 27 busts of Tagore have been established in cities such as Astana, Havana, Valladolid, Vancouver, Fiji, Dublin, Ankara, Toronto, Tashkent, Budapest, Bucharest, Berlin, Paris, New York, Tokyo, London, Seoul and Mauritius.
BCA Canberra Inc, with your help, would like to put Tagore on the map of Australia by installing his bust in Canberra, as a symbol of multiculturalism, globalism and a reminder of India’s glorious heritage. buying and installing bronze bust requires significant amount of resources, especially for a tiny community organisation like us.
